Hi! I am
Bridging the gap between hardware & software — designing circuits, programming microcontrollers, and building intelligent IoT systems. Teaching Assistant × 4 & AI Intern at CyberGen.
I'm Zain Abbas, an Electrical & Electronics Engineering student at FAST NUCES, Chiniot-Faisalabad Campus, with a deep passion for both hardware and software. Whether it's designing an analog circuit, programming an ATmega32 in C, or building a full-stack IoT application — I love turning ideas into working systems.
I've served as a Teaching Assistant for four core engineering courses: Linear Circuit Analysis, Complex Variable Transform, and Differential Equations. I also completed an AI Internship at CyberGen, where I worked on AI-based solutions, data analysis, and model building — bridging hardware expertise with intelligent software.
Outside academics, I actively participate in engineering competitions, having placed 1st in the Project Exhibition and won the Speed Wiring Competition. I am also a proud member of IEEE.
Designing firmware in C/C++ for Arduino, ESP32, and ATmega32. Building connected systems with sensor integration and cloud dashboards via MQTT & ThingSpeak.
Simulation and analysis in Multisim & Proteus. Designing LDR circuits, amplifiers, filters, and digital logic from concept to prototype.
C/C++, Python, HTML/CSS/JS development. Hands-on AI model building and data pipelines from my internship at CyberGen.
Teaching Assistant for 4 core courses: Linear Circuit Analysis, Complex Variable Transform, and Differential Equations. Guided 80+ students per cohort.
A comprehensive set of hardware and software skills built through coursework, projects, and real-world experience.
Real-world projects spanning embedded systems, IoT, circuit design, and software engineering.
An automated plant-care system using ESP32 with soil moisture, temperature/humidity sensors, and a water pump. Data visualized on a ThingSpeak cloud dashboard with auto-irrigation logic.
Designed and built an autonomous robot using Arduino Uno and IR sensor arrays. Implements PID control for smooth curve navigation and obstacle detection via ultrasonic sensors.
Designed a smart home system using ATmega32 with role-based access control, featuring an Admin mode for full control and a Guest mode with limited light control capabilities.
Developed a fully responsive travel agency website deployed live on Netlify, focusing on clean UI/UX and seamless navigation for users.
Built a light-sensitive circuit using LDR and Transistors that automates streetlight control to significantly reduce energy waste during daytime.
Developed a console-based application in C++ utilizing Object-Oriented Programming principles. Implemented full CRUD operations with reliable file-based persistence.
Designed and simulated a functional traffic signal system in Proteus using Logic Gates, featuring timer-driven real-time state transitions.
Created an autonomous smart cooling solution in Proteus. The system relies entirely on a fully analog design without requiring a microcontroller.
Implemented a Phase Modulation technique where the phase of a high-frequency carrier signal is varied in proportion to the instantaneous amplitude of a message signal. Demonstrates superior noise immunity used in Wi-Fi, GPS, and Satellite links.
Built a User-Space Operating System Simulator that models process scheduling and resource management. Simulated core OS concepts like process handling, resource allocation, and system-level operations. Implemented and tested on Ubuntu (VMware environment) with visual demonstration of real-time behavior and execution flow.
An interactive oscilloscope simulation — adjust the controls to generate and visualize electrical waveforms in real-time.
Highlights from competitions, certifications, and community involvement.
Won 1st place at the FAST NUCES departmental Project Exhibition for the Smart IoT Garden system showcasing ESP32-based automation and cloud integration.
Placed in the top position at the Speed Wiring competition, demonstrating precision and speed in real-world circuit assembly under time constraints.
Active member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), participating in technical workshops, seminars, and professional networking events.
Completed an AI internship at CyberGen, assisting in AI-based solution development, data analysis, model building, and testing in a professional environment.
Served as TA for 4 core engineering courses: Linear Circuit Analysis, Complex Variable Transform, and Differential Equations — supporting 80+ students each semester.
Maintaining a CGPA of 3.3 throughout the B.S. EE program at FAST NUCES, one of Pakistan's most competitive engineering institutions.
Have a project idea, collaboration proposal, or just want to connect? I'm always open to new opportunities.
Whether it's an embedded systems project, IoT prototype, circuit design consultation, or software collaboration — I'm always excited to take on new challenges and work with passionate people.
